seed & Crop performance

In addition to our farming and cattle operations, Sandy Knoll Farm offers seed and fertilizer products through a small, service-oriented sideline business focused on performance and reliability. Every product we offer is selected based on results proven on our own acres, rather than sales quotas or brand incentives. If it doesn’t perform for us, we don’t recommend it to our customers.

Our cropping program is guided by data and strategic decision-making, including grid soil sampling and precision agriculture for fertility management. We prioritize consistent yields and long-term soil health. Wheat grown at Sandy Knoll Farm is delivered to Stafford County Flour Mills, processed into flour, and shipped to customers across the United States. We also produce high-quality alfalfa and forages, marketed and shipped to multiple states.

A portion of the corn raised on our farm is fed back into Leon’s swine farm, allowing us to maintain quality control from the field to the feed system. Crop residue, cover crop grazing, ethanol byproducts, summer forages, and native pasture are all utilized to efficiently support the cow herd.
